rises in S Davie County and flows S 4 mi. into Dutchmans Creek. It is said that an early settler bought land there, and the deed called for a creek. He complained that he found no creek on his land, but later, when he discovered one, it came to be called No Creek. |

riverside site in E central Hertford County on Chowan River approx. ¼ mi. N of Winton. A fishery there in the nineteenth century departed from custom when it kept no grease on hand, which meant that customers could not cook fish at the site. |
