Gregory Bald

peak on the Swain County, N.C.-Blount County, Tenn., line in Great Smoky Mountains National Park between Parsons Bald and Rich Gap. Alt. 4,948. Known earlier as Bald Spot Mountain.

Gresham's Lake

in central Wake County on Perry Creek NE of city of Raleigh. Formed in 1939 to cover 100 acres, with a max. depth of 30 ft. Named for owner, S. T. Gresham. Used for boating and fishing.

community in E Vance County. Alt. 493. Settled by 1835 and named for gray granite once mined there in large quantities. Quarrying done by hand until 1885.
