Raymond Island

off of W side of Currituck Banks in Currituck Sound S of South Channel, NE Currituck County.

Raymond's Creek

rises in S Camden County and flows SW into Pasquotank River. Named for William Raymond, who was granted land bordering the creek on February 25, 1696. Earlier called Fleming's Creek for George Fleming, who owned a small tract along the creek and died there in 1694.

Raynham

community in S Robeson County. Alt. 125. Settled about 1884. Named for the parish in Norfolk, England, from which the local Townsend family had migrated.
