Whiteboard: Electricity and magnetism

Whiteboard: Electricity and magnetism

Perspectives in Elementary School
The “who cares?” approach is equally effective in elementary school. For a science unit in Molly Patterson’s fourth-grade class, students brainstorm around the question, “Who cares about electricity and magnetism?” Their ideas are captured on sticky notes and posted on chart paper in the classroom. This chart becomes a resource as the unit of study progresses.
