Two Nepalese guides smiling

Two men, shoulder to shoulder, give broad smiles. Men embracing each other and holding each others hand is fairly common in much of Nepal and is seen as a sign of friendship. Generally speaking, however, public displays of affection are frowned upon in Nepalese culture.
