Biology in the Real World
These posters created by students in Ms. Brewington’s class show dichotomous keys — tools for categorizing and identifying species. These particular examples help to identify imagined species, invented by the students, that have some value to scientists and society. In adopting the perspectives of both scientists and genetic engineers, students gain a sense of the real-world relevance of biology.
