Snow-capped Ecuadorian volcanoes

The peaks of several snow-capped Andean mountains emerge from above the clouds. The Andean mountains run through Ecuador, making the country part of the Pacific "ring of fire." Ecuador is home to several active volcanoes, the tallest being Mount Cotopaxi at 19,000 feet. Ecuador provides a rare example of a country that boasts snow-capped peaks and lush rainforests. The abundant vegetation and outdoor adventure possibilities draw tourists from all over the globe.
