Short cactus in Baja, Mexico

A small cactus sports yellow seed pods from its prickly base. The Baja peninsula is a long stretch of land attached to the mainland at the confluence of Mexico and the United States. The peninsula is a popular tourist destination for its dramatic beaches and challenging surfing opportunities.
