Perspectives in Energy
A journal activity on a classroom whiteboard asks students to assume the role of a spokesperson for a windmill company as part of a unit on ecology. Placing students in this role requires that they call upon what they have learned about the topic to craft a convincing argument about wind power. The outcome is two-fold: Students recall and communicate what they’ve learned about the topic while developing their persuasive writing skills.
