This photograph from the Alamance Battleground Historic Site in Alamance County, N.C. shows colonial-era tools for food preparation and articles of food that were important in the colonial era. These include a bowl of coffee beans, a wooden and metal hand-mill, two pieces of cinnamon bark, and jars of spices.
