Caswell County Courthouse in Yanceyville, NC

This is the Caswell County Courthouse in Yanceyville, North Carolina. In the background on the left is the Historic Caswell County Jail. The courthouse was designed by William Percival and completed in 1861. The building combines Italian Romanesque and Classical features. The courthouse witnessed  John "Chiken" Stephens murder and the impeachment of Governor William Holden.
