Road paving on the Blue Ridge Parkway

This image from the North Carolina State Archives exhibit, "Works Projects in North Carolina, 1933-1941" shows Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) workers paving a section of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The dump truck bed is lifted and asphalt is being poured into a paving machine. A new layer of asphalt is on the road behind the truck.
