Feet on the move in a western mountain trail in Nepal

En route from Naudanda to Birethanti, a person is climbing barefoot up the mountain trail. Piles of firewood lie on the edge of the path. Life in the mountains involves perpetual climbing up and down along the foot trails. Oftentimes, people walk barefoot, although nowadays more people wear shoes and slippers than a few decades ago.
