Warrior Fork [Catawba River]	is formed in W central Burke County by the junction of Irish and Upper Creeks and flows SE into Catawba River.
Warrior Gap	central Caldwell County.
Warrior Mountain	central Caldwell County. Alt. approx. 2,000.
Warrior Mountain	S Polk County. See Big Warrior Mountain and Little Warrior Mountain.
Warrior Mountain	NW Surry County. Alt. 1,805.
Warsaw	town in W Duplin County. Alt. 160. Settled about 1825. Inc. 1855. Early known as Mooresville. Renamed by the conductor of the first train to run through what was then a crossroads community because he was reading a popular novel, Thaddeus of Warsaw by Jane Porter (1776-1850).
Warsaw Township	W central Duplin County.
Warwick Bay	a natural lake in E Robeson County. One of the Carolina Bays, which see. Approx. 1¾' mi. long and 1 mi. wide. Drained from the SE by Peter Swamp. Known also as Lennon's Marsh and Lennon's Mill Pond. Now a privately owned wildfowl refuge with ducks, egrets, and cranes.
Warwick County	On December 4, 1771, in the General Assembly, a bill for establishing the N part of Orange County as Warwick County and St. Stephens Parish was read for the second time and rejected.
Warwick Creek	rises on the Chowan-Gates county line and flows SW through Welsh Pond, where it joins Trotman Creek in forming Catherine Creek. Appears on the Collet map, 1770. A brick house, still standing, built on the creek in 1746 was an early trading center.
