Trent Riverrises in S Lenoir County and flows SE across Jones County and into Craven County, where it enters Neuse River at New Bern. Appears as Quoracks River on the Comberford map, 1657; apparently first called Trent River by John Lawson, 1709, probably for the river of that name in England. Appears as Trent River on the Moseley map, 1733.
Trent Riverrises in central Pamlico County and flows N into Bay River. Often known locally as Trent Creek.
