Tippetts Mill Pondon Moccasin Creek at the Johnston-Nash county line. Approx. ½ mi. long. Formed before the Civil War and known first as Taylor's Mill, later as Hilliard's Mill, and since about 1949 as Tippetts Mill. In the past a sawmill, cotton gin, and corn and wheat mills have been operated there. Wagons known as Moccasin Wagons were made there.
