Maple Cypress	community in NW Craven County served by post office, 1873-1904. Named for maple tree growing from cypress knee in Neuse River.
Maple Fork Branch	rises in NE Northampton County and flows SE and N to join a small unnamed stream that rises in Hertford County to form Turkey Creek.
Maple Gap	S Transylvania County in Blue Ridge Mountains near the head of Abrams Branch.
Maple Grove	community in NW Caldwell County near Staircase Mountain.
Maple Hill	community in NE Pender County on Moores Creek. Alt. 50. Named by a member of the Ashe family for the trees growing at the site. A post office as early as 1879. Angola, formerly considered to be a separate community (and with a post office as early as 1882), about 1½ mi. NW, is now considered to be within the Maple Hill community.
Maple Run	rises in N Duplin County and flows NE into Goshen Swamp.

Maple Spring Branch	rises in W Madison County and flows NE into Meadow Fork.
Maple Spring Branch	rises in E Union County and flows SE into Beaverdam Creek.
