Bridgers Creekrises in S Northampton County and flows W into Roanoke River. Appears as Bridges Creek on the Moseley map, 1733. Pulhams Ferry, according to the Collet map, 1770, was operated across the Roanoke River at the mouth of Bridgers Creek. By 1808 and as late as 1833, the ferry was known as Pollock's Ferry, and in 1862 it was known as Devereux's Ferry.
