Fewcommunity in S Durham County. Formerly known as Oyama, the name taken from that of a Japanese city; a railroad station opened there about 1904. The name was changed after the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, to honor William P. Few (1867-1940), first president of Duke University.
