Brown's Crossroadscommunity in NW Randolph County. The former county seat of Johnstonville, which see, was there.
Brown's Islanda coastal beach island approx. 3 mi. long on the Atlantic Ocean in SE Onslow County. Now within the limits of Camp Lejeune. It lies between Brown's Inlet and Bear Inlet. Sometimes referred to locally by an older name, Shacklefoot Island.
Brown's IslandS Carteret County, approx. 1½ mi. long, N of the E end of Harkers Island and separated from it by Westmouth Bay and Eastmouth Bay.
Brown's SoundS Onslow County. Largely tidal marsh, it lies between Brown's Island and Onslow Beach and the mainland and extends from Bear Inlet to New River Inlet. It empties into the Atlantic Ocean through Bear Inlet, Browns Inlet, and New River Inlet. Now within the limits of Camp Lejeune.
