Kingsdaleformer town in SE Robeson County near the head of Mill Swamp Creek. Inc. 1907, but long inactive in municipal affairs. Site of huge sawmill operations that cleared virgin longleaf pine timber in the region; operations ceased about 1918, and the site was abandoned. Some mill foundations, machine parts, and railroad fill still visible.
