Could you provide an article expanding upon the reasons some Highlanders choose to side with the Loyalists and others chose to side with the Patriots? I suspect that fear of a repeat of reprisals similar to that experienced after Coloden was one factor for the ones choosing Loyalist. However, I suspect there was a lot of peer pressure on the Patriot side as well.
