I would ask if you could put in a clip on the 1944 polio epedemic in Hickory,NC and the what we now know as "The Miracle Of Hickory". Are there any other sites you would reccomend for young ones eager for heart touching history, found right in their own backyard? Thank you for your consideration to the passion, sacrafice, harsh times, and heart warming turns in our beloved North Carolina. The heart of North Carolina has always kept up with our citizens living, and those who are no longer of that prospector. Comment Response: Thank you for taking the time to post a comment to NCpedia. We appreciate your suggestion, and have added an entry on the "Miracle of Hickory" from the Encycopedia of North Carolina.
