Walnut CoveW Macon County on a tributary of Nantahala River.
Walnut Covetown in S Stokes County. Settled 1883 and known as Lash until 1889, when it was inc. under its present name. Named for a grove of walnut trees. Alt. 634. Stokesbury, formerly a separate community just S of Walnut Cove, is now within the corporate limits.
Walnut Cove Branchrises in S Madison County and flows SE into Little Sandymush Creek.
Walnut Cove Branchrises in W central Transylvania County and flows S into Catheys Creek.
